During the winter I've always felt there's no place colder than a cemetery. Adding to all the monuments, several inches of snow, just compounds the cold atmosphere of the stark landscape. The above photographs were taken by Itawamba Historical Society member Oliver Westmoreland. I tried to get the angles that would show the most detail of the snow.
It truly was a beautiful site to see, when the wind would lift the snow off the ground and gently lay it on the toumbstones.
I agree Mona. Oliver is a really good photographer. Oliver, you deserve kudos for getting out in that snow going to the remote Keyes Cemetery. And the other photos you sent are simply outstanding. I'm going to run some more of those snow photos you did.
Ok. I am glad to share them. I am really thinking about taking some photography classes. Me and dad got out about 7 or so that morning and drove around Peaceful Vally and Abney.
