Scarecrows on the Town Square

This morning coming to town I noticed the town square had been transformed into autumn scene. Every October, local agencies, civic clubs and school organizations decorate the town square in Fulton with scarecrows. Pictured above is just a small portion of a classroom scene produced over the weekend by the local high school’s DECA organization. This scene is one of several around the towns square.

This was our first experience on the Scarecrow Trail. We had alot of fun coming up with ideas. Thanks to DECA members Jesse James, Natalia Burgos, Beth Coburn, and April Beasley along with Ms. Laura Summerford and Mr. Milford Summerford, our ideas came to life! Marketing class member Dustin Wood came up with the slogan, "Don't be a GHOUL, Stay in SCHOOL!" I have many young talented and creative students this year in DECA and Marketing, this was a great way to let the community see a sampling of it. Thanks Itawamba!

Sandy, you certainly have a fine group of talented and creative students. The DECA display on the town square is one of the best I've seen.
