Earlier this week I took a trip down to the river bottom on the old US Highway 78. The above photograph of the muddy Tombigbee River was taken from the bridge spanning the old river.

Do you ever wonder what a person would find in the bottom of that old muddy river? Besides fish, roots, and mud. How the old river changes and shifts it's self from place to place amazes me.
