The above picture postcard (click image for larger resolution view) was found in an old photograph collection from the Will G. Ferguson family of Itawamba County. The Ferguson family owned a farm in the Ozark community and later moved to South Cummings Street in Fulton.

To look at this photo and recall riding in such a similar wagon in Charleston, S C, I now know what they had copied those wagons after. The 2000 models were "surrey's with the fringe on top" that carried the tourists around those narrow streets pulled by a single horse - and those horse drawn wagons had the right of way.bettye
